Current treatment approaches aren’t working—over half of US adults have either type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, and obesity rates are at an all-time high. Virta is changing this by helping people reverse their metabolic condition through innovations in technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care delivery reinvented from the ground up. We have raised over $350 million from top-tier investors, and partner with the largest health plans, employers, and government organizations to help their employees and members restore their health and take back their lives. Join us on our mission to reverse diabetes in 100 million people.
Virta is recruiting an experienced medical affairs manager who can thoughtfully manage Virta’s relationships with the scientific community and the marketplace. Third, this person will coordinate an ongoing discussion between Virta clinical experts and the clinical and scientific leaders at our clients and our prospects.
Although the role will directly report to one of Virta’s senior clinical leaders, this role will require close collaboration across Virta, and thus cross-functional skills will be essential.

Closely coordinate with marketing education and engagement plans to ensure heightened KOL and customer engagement strategies that are fully aligned to Virta strategic imperatives.

Coordinate Virta’s quarterly Medical Affairs committee meeting in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Coordinate internal review of public-facing communications and materials
Work very closely with Virta’s marketing team to facilitate marketing campaigns
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in a related field; MBA, MPH, or other related graduate degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare medical affairs, HCP-facing marketing, or related experience for a biotech or medtech company.
Key Opinion Leader mapping or management either within biotech/medtech or for a KOL consultancy.
Experience working on content generation and review within a medical affairs organization.
Experience and knowledge of scientific writing and the scientific process, including peer review, either in academia or industry (ideally both).
Experience working cross functionally with various key internal & external stakeholders with the demonstrated ability to create and manage strategic partnerships.
Demonstrated understanding of industry trends, recognize opportunities to enhance our position competitively, with a strong focus on patient impact and exceptional customer centricity
