Who we are

At Tandym, we’re building a first-of-its-kind platform for merchants to power branded payment products for their end customers. We’re revolutionizing branded payments by enabling merchants to reduce processing fees, increase customer lifetime value, and unlock new revenue streams. Our platform empowers brands to create customized, seamless payment experiences that sit alongside existing payment options, ensuring brand loyalty and increasing customer engagement.

Tandym helps merchants drive deeper loyalty with their best customers. With Tandym’s modern, API-driven platform, merchants can configure and deploy their own branded wallet that includes credit, pay-by-bank, stored value, and BNPL options. This branded payment program helps merchants convert high credit card transaction processing costs into future customer revenues through rewards points, perks, and other benefits.

Tandym’s co-founding team brings over 25 years of experience in payments and financial services. With backing from Gradient Ventures and Obvious Ventures, Tandym is challenging the status quo to deliver win-win outcomes for merchants and their customers.

Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchant Success Manager. This role will focus on client implementations to lead the integration of Tandym’s branded payment solutions for new and existing clients. In this role, you’ll work closely with our new and existing brand partners to design and optimize the configuration of their branded payments program. You’ll lead delivery of the program launch across functional areas, working closely with the brand at each step.

This role is critical in ensuring that our clients experience a smooth, efficient, and impactful onboarding process, tailored to their unique brand needs. This will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and design, to deliver a best-in-class implementation experience.

Post-launch, you’ll continue to work closely with our brand partners to grow Tandym’s share of the checkout (i.e., the percent of transaction volume flowing on to our product). This will include driving merchant adoption of new product features, launching marketing campaigns, and other similar activities. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for automating the creation and deployment of branded assets in a variety of messaging platforms (e.g., Klaviyo).

This role will report to the Chief Product Officer with extremely high visibility across the organization. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Swiss-army knife, capable of jumping in to drive problem solving across a broad range of functional areas. You’ll also need to draw on strong persuasion skills as you work closely with our brand partners to make recommendations that shape their branded payments program.

What we’re looking for
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product and / or client management. You’ll need to demonstrate a high-degree of customer-centric thinking and track record of working cross-functionally between sales, engineering, and support teams.
  • Technical aptitude is a requirement. You should be comfortable working with low- and no-code platforms to deliver a wide range of intent (e.g., Hightouch, RunAlloy, Zapier, etc).
  • You’ll be working closely with merchants to help them realize maximum value from their Tandym program through product and marketing levers. You are a strong active listener who can proactively identify client pain points and recommend appropriate solutions in the Tandym ecosystem to unlock deeper product adoption.
  • You’ll be leading multiple, simultaneous integrations with merchant brands; attention to detail and strong project management skills are vital.
  • You are proficient with SQL and basic data analysis in support of crafting recommendations, troubleshooting issues, etc.
  • You are adept at leveraging design tools like Figma to modify and deliver templatized marketing assets to brand partners.
  • You’re able to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment.
  • Experience in the DTC ecosystem, particularly with Shopify brands and / or apps, is strongly preferred.
  • Team focused, highly self-motivated, attentive to detail, and enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems.
