The Impact You’ll Make
The HRIS and Systems Optimization Contractor will be responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and enhancing our HR systems, with a particular focus on improving workflows, reducing manual processes, and ensuring data accuracy. The successful candidate will audit our existing HRIS setup, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide training resources for the People team.
- HRIS Workflow Optimization:
- Provide ongoing visibility into the volume of workflows within the HRIS system, including tracking changes, approvals, new profiles, tasks, and reporting.
- System Audit and Capability Validation:
- Conduct a thorough audit of the HRIS to validate its current capabilities and ensure all functionalities are being utilized effectively.
- Data Transfer and Integration:
- Work on reducing the manual transfer of HRIS data with external systems such as benefits platforms, ensuring smooth data exchange and reducing errors.
- Data Integrity Audit and Cleanup:
- Audit data fields and custom fields, reviewing their usage and relevance, while ensuring the accuracy of employee documents and records.
- SOP Creation and Validation:
- Develop standard operating procedures for missing tasks related to HRIS workflows and systems.Validate and update existing SOPs to reflect current HRIS practices and enhancements.
- Training and Documentation:
- Create comprehensive training resources for the People Team to ensure they can fully leverage the HRIS system and its capabilities.
Location:
This position is considered remote, however employees who live proximate to our headquarters in Salt Lake City should feel free to work from the office should they wish. We ask that remote employees commit to regular on-site visits for routine work and departmental events
***This is a temporary position that will last 3 months with the possibility of being extended to a 6 month term.***

As a member of our People Business Partner team, you’ll support our teams and leaders to industrialize drug discovery in a business-facing role. The pace of our work is highly dynamic, allowing for opportunities to add value through your strengths and expertise while honing your craft with engaging work. You will report to our Director of People Business Partners and work closely with an amazing team of People Business Partners, Generalists and Operations Associates.
The Experience You’ll Need
- Strong HR experience with a deep understanding of HR processes, workflows, and system integration.
- Technical expertise in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, or others), with experience in auditing, configuring, and optimizing system capabilities.
- Proven ability to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes within an HRIS.
- Experience with data audits, integrity checks, integration, automation, and data clean-up processes.
- Strong skills in SOP creation, documentation, and training.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with tech/IT/engineering environments and a deep understanding of systems integration and automation.
- Familiarity with benefits platforms and other HR-related systems.
