Job Summary:
Octave is seeking a seasoned, operationally-oriented Sr. Strategy & Operations Manager to oversee a complex and strategically critical partnership with a nationally recognized health leader. You will own projects from start to finish, working cross-functionally with Octave and a third party partner aligned to Clinical, Business Development, Operations, Product, and Engineering to prioritize, develop, maintain, and continuously deliver and improve upon the success of the partnership. You will help to develop new operational capabilities and drive operational efficiency, providing the foundation for scaled growth of the partnership. Your work will have a direct impact on people’s lives by scaling the availability and accessibility of quality mental health services, in line with Octave’s mission.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead a high priority, complex program end-to-end:
- Lead the program lifecycle that supports the partnership, including ideation, scoping, planning, execution, and results monitoring.
- Help prioritize and drive alignment of key projects and strategic initiatives, understanding how they map to partnership priorities and the impact they will have.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with our partner organization, serving as the primary liaison to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of mutual goals.
- Drive internal and external cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop creative solutions for some of the most complex issues in mental health today, including developing systems and approaches that help deliver on the expected outcomes of the partnership.
- Design and implement communications strategies for initiatives, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of performance, and ensure overall impact in relation to the program’s desired outcomes and partnership goals.
- Own continuous improvement and explore new ideas during the course of the program to inform future opportunities.
Drive operational efficiency and process improvement:
- Manage and drive the partnership’s operations committees, aimed at ensuring the success of the partnership in-line with business needs and delivering on contractual commitments.
- Own routine data analytics and weekly/monthly reporting, including creation of quantitative analyses that yield clear business insights and tangible recommendations.
- Construct and implement frameworks that ensure operational capabilities are scalable and adaptable to the growing needs of the partnership.
- Implement new systems to optimize cross-team collaboration and overall reporting on the health of the partnership and the required deliverables.
Stand up new operational capabilities:
- Support new system implementations between Octave and its partner, including the selection, adoption, and optimization of new technologies and systems to enhance operational workflows and data management.
- Drive the creation and implementation of innovative processes that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency across all program areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in program management, management consulting, and/or business operations. Experience in healthcare preferred.
- Program management: Experience leading multi-disciplinary, cross-functional strategic operational initiatives from design through implementation. Proficiency with Notion and other program management tools is preferred.
- Strategic operator: Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning and operational execution – able to get into the details without losing sight of the big picture – to help guide the efforts of all program stakeholders.
- Partnership management: Experience managing and building external relationships, collaborating in service of meeting shared goals.
- Organization: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities aligned to short and long term objectives.
- Data analysis: Comfortable collecting and interpreting data sets in order to answer questions, solve problems, or raise opportunities to leadership. Proficiency with Excel and Tableau is preferred.
- Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experienced in working with and presenting to executive leadership.
- Resourcefulness: Demonstrated ability to innovatively and efficiently navigate challenges, ensuring successful project execution within constrained environments.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
- Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
- Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.
The salary range is for zone 1 (all states not in zone 2 or zone 3) $132,100 - $142,600.
The salary range for zone 2 (CO, HI, MD, RI) is $145,300 - $156,900.
The salary range for zone 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA) is $152,000 - $164,000.
All zones are eligible for equity in the form of stock options.
Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
