The technical lead role is crucial in spearheading strategic technical initiatives that will align our offerings with this expansion. We’re looking for an energetic and thoughtful leader who can make critical architectural and design decisions that will determine the long-term scalability of our platform.

What You’ll Do

• Assume comprehensive responsibility for our technology platform. Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and clinical operations to steer our technical vision and decision-making.
• Translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Develop technical specifications and oversee the implementation plans for new features and components.
• Spearhead the development and enhancement of our mobile application, enriching the user experience and care journey for our members.
• Improve our proprietary EMR system to provide cutting-edge tools for clinicians and coaches, enhancing their ability to deliver top-notch care.
• Lead our engineering team in solving complex technical problems, fostering an environment of learning and growth to deliver scalable, high-quality software that adheres to industry best practices.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies within the industry. Collaborate with the product team to seamlessly integrate innovative solutions into our platform.

Who You Are

• You bring over 5-7 years of full-stack engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role, with a proven track record in modern web and mobile application development.
• Proven experience deploying production applications with the following technologies:
• SPAs and Mobile apps using: React, React Native
• Web services using Java and/or Node.js
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Adept at evolving monolithic architectures to support the scaling needs of a growing tech startup.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in agile methodologies, with a preference for iterative development over exhaustive planning.
• Solid understanding of security practices, especially those pertinent to the healthcare industry.
• Committed to rigorous development, testing, documentation, and code review processes within a team setting.
