Location: We are a remote-first company. This role can be based in most US states. The Eastern US (Eastern or Central Time Zone) is preferred.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager, Capital Markets to join our Capital Markets group, which forms part of our Treasury and Capital Markets team.

The Capital Markets team is responsible for the market execution of the organization’s funding programs, notably issuance of the Asset Backed Securities and unsecured debt, together with the structuring of loan sales/forward flow agreements and ABS warehouse financing structures. This specific role is focused on warehouse financing via bank partnerships.

Your day-to-day

Mosaic has several warehouse partnerships today and is looking to expand its relationships with new and existing banks. As a member of the Capital Markets team with a focus on warehouse financing you will maintain and enhance the warehouse funding program by maintaining financial models, structuring warehouse transactions that meet market performing analysis that will allow the company to enhance and grow the program. You will work closely with our bank partners and ensure adequate funding at all times. This position will work cross-functionally with the ABS team within Capital Markets.

The candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of financial markets and develop an understanding of the company’s assets and financing vehicles. They should have a thorough understanding of discounted cash flow analysis and the ability to apply financial modeling techniques to a solar loan portfolio and financing instruments.

This position will be responsible for maintaining and executing the warehouse financing program with new and existing partners with an understanding of financial models for cash flow analysis. This requires knowledge of the factors that impact the timing and level of cash inflows and outflows. This position will also be involved in the monthly reporting for all warehouse activity.

This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills to speak with investment banks, syndicate partners and internal stakeholders.

The candidate will need to interact internally with the other members of the Capital Markets and Treasury teams, Legal, Risk, Finance and Accounting departments, as well as, externally with investment bankers. The individual must have the ability to think clearly and independently. The individual is expected to build a thorough knowledge of the operations of Mosaic and its business practices over a short period of time.

Major Responsibilities Include

  • Execute all front office activities for new and existing warehouse partnerships.
  • Act as primary liaison for external parties, including but not limited to investment banks, legal counsel, and potentially accountants.
  • Responsible for the preparation of due diligence presentations for each new and renewal of warehouse programs.
  • Structure the warehouse program to meet market standards and ensure full compliance with all securities laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate and drive structural improvements and efficiencies to the warehouse program.
  • Manage the audit progress for each warehouse program, as necessary.
  • Ensure the legal documentation supporting the program reflects the terms of the term sheet accurately.
  • Coordinate the necessary materials for the investor/due diligence presentation.
  • Coordinate with various internal departments including but not limited to Treasury, Legal, Risk, Finance, and Accounting.
  • Analyze the performance of each warehouse agreement, including all concentration limits and required hedging and provide reporting to senior management.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support requests by senior management.
  • Support internal and external audits conducted on an annual basis for the warehouse programs.

What you Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital markets, securitization/warehouse issuer, rating agency or related quantitative fields/roles
  • Demonstrated ability to build, negotiate and improve warehouse programs and relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience applying financial modeling techniques
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic and fast paced environment in an organized manner; ability to execute strategic vision.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Team player: ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities and disciplines across the organization.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally and to cultivate and maintain relationships with funding and capital partners.
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute broadly to achieve team and company objectives.
  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure.
  • B.A. or B.S. in Finance, Economics or other related degree

Bonus Points

  • Skills in SQL, R, or Python
  • Prior experience in consumer lending

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$150,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
