The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Operations/Recon Specialist to join our team. The specialist will be required to perform complex reconciliations for multiple bank accounts on a daily basis. This team member must be able to identify and resolve issues as well as initiate, investigate and identify process improvements. This will require the team member to understand our payment processing platform, which includes cards, ach/efts and checks. This position will also require the ability to communicate directly with various teams in order to remedy out-of-balance bank accounts and payment files.
General Profile
This position would be a full-time, Individual Contributor position that works from home. This person would work Monday through Friday and be required to work 8-hour shifts between our normal business hours of 8am to 5pm ET
Job Responsibilities
· Performing daily bank account reconciliations for multiple accounts
· Performing various other reconciliations comparing internal reporting with other data sources
· Transaction flow analysis within bank accounts
· Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or out of balance conditions
· Analyzing and building daily/monthly/periodic reports
· Internal system and transaction auditing
· Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and complaints, taking steps to ensure full resolution.
· Assist with other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma / GED
· 2+ years of experience in basic accounting principles and procedures or direct experience with bank account reconciliations
· Demonstrated experience in working in an independent, decision-making role
· Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport and respond effectively
· Ability to manage changing priorities and directives
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications which includes the ability to learn new computer system applications
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other cloud-based applications.
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior Financial Services experience
· Prior Operations experience
· Prior experience with Payment Cards, ACH/EFT and checks
· College degree or equivalent years of experience
Salary
$27 - $33 per hour
