As Corporate Development & Fundraising Associate you will be part of the central Corporate Development & Fundraising team reporting to the Head of Corporate Development. You will also work closely with the Chief Financial, Executive, and Strategy Officers and other members of Lilium’s leadership team. The role will be based in Munich.

One key focus of this role is to help ensure the company is properly funded through private and public investors to progress the certification program and prepare market launch. This includes also supporting the definition and build-out of Lilium’s strategy and equity story across the full value chain; from supply chain and manufacturing topics, to assessment and evaluation of future products and business models.

As part of this team, your mission is to work with senior management, financial and commercial teams, and other key stakeholders across the company to steer Lilium’s strategic planning.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a variety of challenges, as well as to develop strong relationships with some of the global leaders in the technology, finance, and mobility industries. Given the scope and exposure of the role, the position offers a very special professional growth opportunity across the company longer-term.

You will join a small, non-hierarchical, very dynamic, and international team and will be empowered to lead cross functional projects. This is a demanding and high-paced role, so the candidate will need to be ready to work under pressure and within aggressive deadlines.

The successful candidate brings strong leadership skills, outstanding analytical and modelling capabilities, great business judgment, excellent communications skills, a quick understanding of technical problems, and an entrepreneurial attitude.

Your Day to Day:

  • Support fundraising process, including preparation of investor materials and fundraising strategies
  • Support with business modelling, business plans, and creation of decision documents
  • Take ownership for finding the most effective solutions to strategic issues across the company
  • Work cross-functionally to align strategy and teams
  • Provide a sounding board to senior management and constantly challenge the status quo

Your Profile:

  • Outstanding record of academic achievement
  • MBA from a top 10 business school a strong plus
  • Min of 2 years of professional experience in a very analytical/strategic/financial role in a Tier 1 firm (e.g., top management consulting, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or investment banking with focus on advising manufacturing and industrial players) a mandatory requirement
  • Excited for real deep tech products
  • Professional experience in an operational role in a fast-growing technology company a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Previous experience in large private and/or public fundraises a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision
  • Out of the box thinker and strong motivation to learn
  • Drive, resilience, and passion for whatever you tackle
  • Good team player, with humble yet ambitious attitude
