Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher educational attainment from an accredited program
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • 1+ years of experience in Women’s Health, OB/GYN, or a related area preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association or equivalent organization
  • Proficient in fetal monitoring and labor management, with current certification such as AWHONN Fetal Monitoring or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to women in various stages of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, adhering to evidence-based practices
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform other necessary treatments under the guidance of healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including obstetricians, neonatologists, and lactation consultants to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families on prenatal and postnatal care, birth options, and general women’s health
  • Accurately document patient information and medical history in electronic health records, following HIPAA guidelines
