Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
Reporting to the Global Director of EHS, the EHS manager is a hands-on manager and technical expert in Environmental, Health & Safety supporting three R&D/production sites in the San Francisco Bay Area. The manager is responsible for managing, developing and implementing policies and programs to ensure the health and safety of Diamond Foundry employees, contractors and visitors, as well as to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local EHS requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Solve problems and provide technical expertise on all aspects of EHS in a highly dynamic, complex environment with extensive R&D, production and facilities equipment and various gases/chemicals.
  • Be a change agent and establish a strong safety culture throughout the Bay Area sites with a focus on prevention including awareness, training, ownership and early hazard identification and elimination.
  • Achieve world-class safety performance as benchmarked with industry peers.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience as an EHS manager and/or technical expert.
  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS, engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cal/OSHA, NFPA, IBC and similar regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Extensive EHS experience working in the semiconductor industry is strongly preferred.
  • Based at either the Diamond Foundry South San Francisco, CA or Fremont, CA site with frequent visits to all 3 sites in the Bay Area.
