Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer who is responsible for supporting the facilities functions, including facilities planning, build-outs, maintenance, equipment, and operations of the manufacturing floor, labs, and office areas of multiple locations. Responsibilities included but are not limited to the following areas: project management, HVAC, process cooling water, gas distribution, electrical and mechanical systems management, vendor/contractor relations, and compliance and safety regulations. In addition, the position will also oversee and coordinate multiple capital construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with key stakeholders to plan, organize and lead facility build-out/upgrade projects.
- Ensure designs and implementations conform to regulations, codes, and best practice standards.
- Project manage construction initiatives not limited to scope, procurement, and implementation while ensuring effective engineering installation and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and maintain all facilities systems including HVAC, gas distribution, and electrical power systems
- Develop and maintain budgets for repair and construction projects, manufacturing equipment, and office furniture system installations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or facilities management
- Minimum 2 years, 5+ years preferred, of “hands-on” experience with the maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read commercial building blueprints and understand electrical single lines and schematics
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to mechanical & electrical systems
- Knowledge of commercial manufacturing building mechanical systems, including process cooling water supply and distribution, compressed air, gas distribution, and HVAC systems.
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems.
- Handle multiple projects at various sites on a fast-paced schedule, while dealing with some vagueness and an ever-changing environment
- Experience in semiconductor, solar, or similar manufacturing facilities is a big plus
- Strong project and program management skills and proven ability to develop and lead cross-functional teams to achieve results.
- Ability to use CAD for layout and design purposes
