Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
We seek a motivated and technically skilled Process Integration Engineer to join our team in developing and optimizing wafer engineering processes. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of industry experience, a solid foundation in wafer processing, and a passion for problem-solving. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the integration of new R&D process flows, ensuring high-quality output and manufacturability while driving improvements in process robustness.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize process integration strategies, ensuring timely product delivery and quality assurance.
- Identify and resolve inter-module process issues through data analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and failure analysis; recommend and execute corrective actions.
- Work with process and metrology teams to define and validate process/material specifications and metrology requirements, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as product configurations, process flows, and specifications during the R&D stage; assist with transitioning new products to volume production.
- Support process monitoring by implementing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions and contributing to automation initiatives to improve process control and data management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in wafer process integration, process engineering, or a related field within the semiconductor or HDD industry.
- Good understanding of wafer processing technologies such as CMP, cleaning, laser, and metrology techniques.
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies like DOE, statistical data analytics (e.g., JMP), and process control (e.g., SPC). Experience with MES and data automation is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
