Job Description
A bit about this role:
The Outpatient Coder Program Manager will play a key role in overseeing the implementation and execution of outpatient coding-related audits and disputes processes for our offshore vendor. The Outpatient Coding Program Manager will also manage comprehensive training programs to ensure coding accuracy and regulatory compliance. This position is crucial to maintaining the high standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency necessary for outpatient coding and audit processes.
Your Responsibilities and Impact will include:
Lead and oversee the implementation and execution of outpatient coding-related audits, disputes, and clinical cases by offshore staff
Implement comprehensive outpatient coding training for offshore staff
Provide ongoing training and development to ensure staff stay updated with the latest coding guidelines, payer-specific regulations, and audit best practices
Perform quality audits on offshore team and vendors to ensure outpatient coding and disputes adhere to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and regulatory guidelines
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve coding issues and ensure timely and accurate claims submission
Oversee disputes related to outpatient coding audits; work with leadership to identify root causes of disputes and implement corrective actions to reduce the frequency of disputes
Work with leadership to identify opportunities for program growth and expansion
Serve as the primary point of contact for all outpatient coding program-related inquiries, including internal teams and external stakeholders
Required skills and experience:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in outpatient coding, auditing, and compliance
Strong experience in coding audits
Proven experience in training payment integrity coding audits
Operational Discipline

Bachelor’s Degree
Strong leadership and training abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Working with offshore vendors
Salary range: $76,000 - $120,000 annually
Our ranges are purposefully broad to allow for growth within the role over time. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
