Corvus is an InsurTech that uses new forms of data to deliver novel underwriting insights for Cyber Insurance and related products. Corvus seeks a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our growing team and work alongside our Risk and Insurance team. Corvus uses AI, Data Science and Machine Learning to provide an automated Cyber Insurance experience in retail and wholesale broker channels. You will have the unique opportunity to support our enterprise by providing actuarial pricing and reserving services. Prepare to work alongside industry leaders in analyzing, evaluating, modeling and rating potential competitive solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Build modern actuarial workflows utilizing Alteryx or Python that are scalable and well documented;

  • Prepare and complete pricing and/or reserving analyses, including the development of rates, reserve indications, rate monitoring, and segmentation analyses;

  • Support proprietary tools that integrate Corvus’ data science capabilities with traditional actuarial methodologies;

  • Develop expertise in Corvus’ data ecosystem, serving as a resource and advocate for data needs within the Actuarial and broader Risk & Insurance team;

  • Provide actuarial insight and expertise to the Actuarial and broader Risk & Insurance team;

What you'll bring to the flock:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis

  • 3 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams required; near-ACAS preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in insurance pricing or reserving;

  • Experience in building scalable workflows using Python or Alteryx in insurance applications

  • Strong technical actuarial skills; experience with primary rating models preferred

  • Knowledge of cyber risk modeling and enterprise risk quantification experience preferred, but not required

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and negotiate with others and create acceptance for proposals.

  • Comfortable performing work with minimal guidance and working in a dynamic work environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to multitask and be a great teammate
