The Regional Sales Manager Foodservice - DACH will be responsible for managing the sales to
customers in Foodservice of Beyond Meat products in this cluster. Focus markets are Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving annual volume sales and profit targets, managing and developing Key accounts and Distributors.
The Regional Sales Manager is an expert on all matters relating to the trade such as knowing key
decision-makers plus customer agendas/objectives and must be focused on driving sales via a strong emphasis on maximizing distributors and leveraging large operators with customer activity. The Regional Sales Manager must have the ability to work well within a team environment, especially with internal support groups (Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Forecasting, Management, R&D).
TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing and executing local cluster’s go-to-market strategic plans
- Accountable for forecasting and business planning activities that deliver budgeted volume, sales and profit targets in designated region
- Gather insights and define local cluster’s need for next NPDs (new product development)
- Lead and Manage potential local Field Sales partners
- Identify and lead the development of new business opportunities in foodservice and industrial
- Develop annual customer business plans in partnership with Marketing
- Direct and monitor all aspects of trade promotion to ensure maximum impact
- Manage broker / distributor sales execution and scorecard performance against agreed objectives
- Build great relationships and manage regional contacts in designated region
- Develop and execute local partnership program for Foodservice key accounts in collaboration with Marketing department
- Negotiate Annual collaboration plans for local key accounts as well as wholesalers
- Initiate local partnerships and develop concepts with other manufacturers that can be introduced to key accounts and wholesalers
- Attend key customer events and Food service trade shows
- Leverage Data, Insights and Analyze sales reports to execute necessary and positive changes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:
- Experience: 5 +years Foodservice Sales with account management experience
- Food Service distribution, broker or manufacturer experience a plus
- Four-year college degree in Business or equivalent industry related experience
- Specialized Knowledge: Computer knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to motivate and engage
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Language skills: German native/fluent level; English at professional/conversational level; any
other European language is an advantage
Other qualifications:
- Experience selling value added protein preferred
- Experience selling to key accounts at both a buyer and senior level
- Trained Chef or attended culinary school
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Remote with Ability to travel 30- 40%
