The AR Collections and Deduction Analyst position is responsible for timely collections and support the cash application/deduction team.
Tasks, Duties, & General Responsibilities
- Perform daily A/R banking activities for two subsidiaries (US and EU).
- Maintain aging reports (US and EU) and perform activities to resolve open receivables.
- Perform month end close activities and meet accounting close deadlines.
- Create and analyze weekly reports for internal and audit review.
- Develop effective relationships with customers including a thorough understanding of clients process, key stakeholders and how to work efficiently within their system to collect outstanding balances.
- Interact with customers to resolve outstanding billing / collection issues in a timely manner to BYND and client satisfaction.
- Identify root causes of problems affecting payment of invoices, by analyzing relevant information and clearly communicating and collaborating internally and with BYND customers to resolve root cause issues to prevent a reoccurring.
- Perform other related duties as assigned including but not limited to special projects.
AR Deduction Responsibilities
- Process domestic and international credit memo requests.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies (off invoice and short payments)
- Research/Resolve customer short ship deduction (Returns, shortages, overages, etc).
- Perform work in Netsuite/ERP and Blue Planner (TPM) Trade Promotion Management software.
- Work closely with customers and internal sales team to support deduction team.
Qualifications
- Required:
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- 4+ years of work experience in the food or consumer packaged goods industry
- Proficient in Excel (V-Lookups, Tables, Formulas and Pivot Tables) and Outlook
- Clear oral and written communication skills with customers and internal teams
- Extremely organized, detailed, and proactive
- Analytical, tenacious and great at research, follow-through & follow-up
- Preferred:
- BA or BS degree
- NetSuite, TPM and EDI experience
- Prior experience working in a SOX environment
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD 70,000 and 80,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
